what things do I want to happen in my life, in the near future?

 Some people say that you should not think of the past because it is gone, and you should not think of the future, because it does not exist. So, the wise thing to do is to live in the present.

I agree with that but I also think that if you want things to happen in your life you should think and plan for the future.

So what things do I want to happen in my life, in the near future?

I would like to travel, to live abroad and get to know new people, cultures and societies. For that, I have been thinking of studying abroad. Specifically, I would like to continue my studies in Architecture in Spain or Italy.

I like the idea of studying in Spain because of the language, which I think it could make things easier for me. I am aware that studying in a foreign country is a challenge in a lot of ways so not having to communicate in another language I think will make things easier for me.

And of course, in Spain I could get to know the work of the great Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona!

I also would like to study in Italy because I've been told that it is beautiful. I would have to learn Italian, but it is not too different from Spanish so I guess it wouldn't be too difficult. In Italy, I would also get to know a bit about ancient cultures and ancient examples of architecture.

I am now in my 3^rd year of Architecture, so I hope all this would happen within the next 4 or 5 years, when I get my degree as an Architect. 

I will apply for a scholarship, but I know I must also save some money to make things easier when living abroad. 

Of course, I wouldn't spend all of my time just studying. I think is also important to get to know different people and cultures and, to do so, you have to go out, spend some free time travelling around, making friends and socializing. That is why I need to save some money!

It would be silly to be in Spain or Italy and not to travel to other countries in Europe. It makes me so excited to think of visiting Paris, for example! Or London, or Berlin! 

But as I said before, to make things happen you have to plan ahead, and think of the future. It may be wise to live in the present, but that does not mean to give up planning for your life.
