English 4 - FAU

When I was reading the topics in this blog I was thinking a lot of changes that I would like to happens in my career. I study architecture at the University of Chile and I course 3rd year of career. As you can imagine, I have to use different softwares like Photoshop, Autocad, Archicad, Ilustrator, In design, Sketchup, etc. The problem with that is the licences, because the university gives you only some of these. I always think about Adobe, we don't have a licence and we use that a lot! I really hope that changes and finally to be able to use these programs without having to hack them or pay dearly for them.   Some people say that you should not think of the past because it is gone, and you should not think of the future, because it does not exist. So, the wise thing to do is to live in the present. I agree with that but I also think that if you want things to happen in your life you should think and plan for the future. So what things do I want to happen in my life, in the near future? I would like to travel, to live abroad and get to know new people, cultures and societies. For that, I have been thinking of studying abroad. Specifically, I would like to continue my studies in Architecture in Spain or Italy. I like the idea of studying in Spain because of the language, which I think it could make things easier for me. I am aware that studying in a foreign country is a challenge in a lot of ways so not having to communicate in another language I think will make things easier for me.   Hi everyone, today I am going to talk about my dream job. Since I am an architecture student, I would like to work in a job related to what I am studying. If I have to select some areas of specialization, I would pick urbanism or landscape design, both of them are actually very related. Urbanism focuses on the correct development of cities and urban areas, through the plan and design of elements such as streets, zones, and public spaces. Public spaces is one of the targets of landscape design too, providing solutions to project issues knowing the environment and its necessities. I really like both, so my dream job would combine them. Since the majors that I like involve so much the public space I prefer being on site, analyzing the city, taking decisions observing the real problematics, selecting plants and different materials for the project, etc. So, I mostly prefer outdoors, but I don’t mind working indoors if it necessary.  Another thing that I would love its travel a lo...

Hi everyone! Today I will talk about some things that I love to do. I was thinking about different topics that I could talk about and I thought about things that I love is the best choice. One of those things is to make handmade soaps with my grandmother, it’s a very funny and special moment because we learned to make soaps in youtube. My grandma had the idea of starting this activity and nowadays at home all of us use these soaps. Besides being fun  , it’s important for the environment because we don’t use plastics. Other thing that I like to do is to ride my bike. Omg it’s beautiful, definitely makes my life better because when I ride I feel just the moment, sometimes with music or just with sounds of nature. I feel free and when I end the ride I feel good and with energy. Also some days I go with company and it’s funny too. I love to see the sunset during the ride and feel the wind.

Welcome to my blog As you know (I think), I studying architecture and today I will be talk about to something relation with mi fild of study. the Park Guell was designed by the incredible and talento use architect Antoni Gaudí. In the first time this project has the purpose to be a "city garden", but that's never ends and actually it's a very beauty park for the people. I think that staying there makes you feel like you are in a magical story, because of the shape and color of the buildings and how it can be adapted to the nature and relief of the place, managing to architecturally imitate the forms of the natural landscape. For example, Gaudi designed inclined columns that respect the morphology of the ground, he also created paths that surround you in a tunnel that looks like a cavern, which is based on inclined columns and supporting walls.   Hi everyone!!   The best concert I've ever went to is was of Justin Bieber in Santiago, 2017. It was a very crazy experience for me because I went alone from Chillán to Santiago. When I knew about Purpose Tour, I really wanted to go, but immediately I thought in the obstacles, especially because I lived far to Santiago (aprox. 5 hrs by bus), and I had an exam in one of my classes of school in that day. I remember onces weeks before the concert, when I declared that I would go. I felt excited and nervous (because I felt a little scary) .
